Here is a visualization of the extent to which the current Board of Immigration Appeals (“BIA”) is carrying out the Trump administration’s attempt to deport as many immigrants as possible.
I ran the entire volume of precedent decisions from January 31, 2025 to the present through an AI analysis. Before relying on anything below, please be sure to double check.
I did the same for the previous volume of BIA decisions, which are from January 2020 to January 17, 2025.
One extraordinary difference is the sheer volume of precedent decisions issued by the BIA in the second Trump administration–131 decisions in less than two years.
By comparison, the BIA only issued 100 precedent decisions over the course of 5 years.
